Captain Culture gave away books on Piotrkowska Street !!!
Everyone who was present at Piotrkowska Street (between Rubinstein Passage and Schiller Passage) on 26th of April between 3 and 7 pm had the opportunity to meet Captain Culture, to talk to him and receive a “cultural book” with a bookmark and a comic drawn by Krzysztof Ostrowski (famous graphic artist and vocalist of Lodz music group). Captain was accompanied by the promotion team who promoted the Lodz-European Capital of Culture 2016 project with the same enthusiasm as the Captain.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the happening and who supports the candidacy of Lodz for the title of the European Capital of Culture 2016!

Captain Culture In Manufaktura
Event was performed on 29th of March 2008.
In Manufaktura Lodz Art Center arranged the promotional stand – the same that have promoted Lodz in Berlin. Captain Culture have played in memory with people visiting the shopping center. Children drawn over 50 Captain Culture’s portraits, adults were taking part in special contests and were winning the Lodz- European Capital of Culture 1016 project gadgets.

Captain Culture and Miss Polonia 2007 in Berlin
During the International Touristic Fairs In Berlin Lodz promoted the „Lodz – European Capital of Culture 2016” project.
Most important character was Captain Culture accompanied by Miss Polonia 2007 – Barbara Tatara.
Promotion stand was designed as a Captain Culture’s apartment. Captain and others informed visitors about the Lodz’s cultural offer and distributed special edition of Captain Culture comic (drawn by Krzysztof Ostrowski) and the set of Lodz of Festivals postcards.
Lodz’s promotional film “Lodz the city of culture” won the first prize in the ITB fairs in the City Tourism category.

The President of the City of Lodz prize: 2.000 Euro was decreed to "a3" project group - Agata Lopuchowska i Adam Wojtalik for the stamp project. |
